Favorite Podcasts
People often ask me about my favorite podcasts, and it’s hard to answer because I’m subscribed to about 250 and actively listen to every episode of ~10, selectively of another 50, and then basically never actually listen to most of the rest unless someone sends me a link to a specific episode.
(I use Overcast (and pay for Premium) — I love the “Smart Speed” option which reduces silences between words, and Voice Boost which remasters the audio a bit, and then listen at between 1.5 and 3x depending on the individual podcast, my listening environment, and rarely the content.)
Every Episode:
“Hexapodia” (great econ/neoliberal perspective)
Adam Ragusea Podcast (cooking and more)
All-In (see what mostly-consensus views are among VCs)
Asianometry (amazing, although youtube is better)
At the Brink (decent nuclear stuff although closed)
Red Scare (great cultural commentary and fun)
Crypto Critics’ Corner (AMAZING crypto fraud insights)
Cypherpunk Bitstream (favorite overall, but infrequent releases)

Main thing I’ve learned from writing this: I should absolutely use “quotes” around the first word of my podcast name, if I do a podcast, so it sorts into the beginning of lists. Sneaky trick.
